Goals
 

By the end of the year, the students should show progress or demonstrate the following:

​

• Reading/language readiness skills (ex. listens to stories, expresses ideas clearly, follows directions)

• Growth in fine motor skills (ex. tracing, coloring, cutting) and gross motor skills (ex. Running, jumping)

• Knows and can recognize first and last name

• Can count to ten or more and begins to recognize numerals

• Can recognize and name basic shapes and colors

• Knows age, birthday, and address

• Can say the alphabet, days of the week, and months of the year

• Understands basic concepts (ex. same, different, etc.) and spatial concepts (ex. under/over, up/down, etc.)

• Can identify and name the different parts of the body

Summary
 

The students will learn about a wide variety of topics revolving around weekly and monthly themes throughout the year (ex. My Family, Pets, The Five Senses, Farm Animals, Dinosaurs, etc.)
